Judaism is a religious belief derived from the Torah that was (According to the tradition)given to Moses on Mt.Sainai after the exodus from Egypt. The term »JUDAISM« is derived from the Hebrew verb root L'HODOT meaning to give thanks.
A Jew then is one who endeavours to live life with an attitude of gratitude.
