My Heart Leaps Up When I Behold
by William Wordsworth

My heart leaps up when I behold
A rainbow in the sky:
So was it when my life began,
So is it now I am a man,
So be it when I shall grow old
Or let me die!
The Child is father of the Man:
And I could wish my days to be
Bound each to each by natural piety.

I understand the physics of how a rainbow is formed by light refraction thru raindrops etc. but it is still a magical thing

It makes more sense to worship a rainbow than an old man who sends locusts to Egypt....

Aren't they great things? They have all the colors, they are created by the sun and the rain together: a great example of the good result of co-working.

Have you ever tried to imagine, if the rainbow would actually touch the earth, what a beautiful place that would be?

Have you ever thought about how lucky you are compared to all the blind people, that you can see something beautiful like a rainbow?

'Somewhere over the rainbow....' Several weeks ago, I saw my first double rainbow. Does that mean there are two pots of gold waiting for me (or even four – one at either end of each rainbow)? A universal jackpot, so to speak.
