Try this next time you want a major garlic fix: peel and mince all the cloves in one head of garlic (yes, I know it sounds like a lot, but bear with me), and add a pinch of salt and half a cup of extra virgin olive oil. Heat very gently over a low flame about 5 minutes, until the strong aroma of garlic rises. Cover and allow to cool. Dip chunks of fresh bread into the mixture, making sure to pick up pieces of garlic. WOW! Be sure to partake with friends, or you will be a garlic pariah for at least two days. That, or safe from vampires.
