Since Dada, every artist is in dada (whether they want to be or not).
Dada should have come as no surprise.
An art movement intended to destroy art movements.
Alas, the Dada artists were so good that their protest became a respected movement in itself, so if you think about it they were failures because of their talent and success.
How dada!
I think it opened the door for freedom of speech in many ways. It brought about some contradictions though- obviously! The world was not a better place because of it but at least people were aware more so of the complete idiocy of the world. This group of people who in a sense were mirroring this back to society to show everyone ecaxactly that.
