RP-English is »received pronunciation English,« as in received from the Queen Mother or something.
You couldn't say a word on the BBC without it for years, but lately that's changing.

The opposite of RP English is using words not known of or used by the Queen Mother. They may include such x-gen words as, x-gen, cool, bogus, rank, dude, and any other words you or your little brother or cousin uses.
RP-English is english for the reliable person in that he/she is not so lazy as to be far too boverd to pronounce sounds like »tuh« which can be clearly seen at the end of a word like but.
