As an immensely fatigable person  through no real fault of my own  I'm always vaguely irritated by the suggestion of virtue that attaches to this word.
I would distrust a patience that never runs thin (as in indefatigable patience...). I would suspect its owner of being cushioned too comfortably in cotton wool. Much better is »beware the anger of a patient man«  or, best of all, »beware the anger of a patient God«.
