Does nurturing bestow privilege? In the context of mothering, the act of nurturing creates a special, unreplaceable type of bond between an adult and child. What does that mean in terms of the privileged relationship that exists? Society sometimes recognizes it, but often does not. Social status supplants the emotional dictate that would have alternative relationships make sense.

Nurture should be nurtured, unlike nature that just goes out and about.
